Pinwheel Residence

• The diagram of this complicated and ambitious project, located on a 1.4 acre lot in central Austin, is manifestly expressed. Designed around an equilateral triangle, the house is organized into three programmatic wings that radiate from a central conversation pit, negotiating the property’s 30 feet of grade.

  Our previous website described the project, but, for now, we will let the images speak for themselves.

• For various reasons, Pinwheel has been in development for a decade. It is tempting to describe, as a piece of architecture, why this house is important to us. More important though is the fact that the construction involves a cohesive team of friends all working to achieve something extraordinary.
