Tether Trails Residence

• The Greenbelt Overlook Residence was a home for a family of three overlooking the greenbelt in Austin. It has since sold.

  At once serious and playful, this project embodied the competing influences guiding our client team. They described a puzzle — rustic and modern, but not shabby chic or modern-rustic. Combined with a difficult site hemmed in between setbacks, protected trees and utility easements, the design proved a daunting challenge. We love the results.

• At the time, we were best known for our “white” projects. Still modern, but we were working to feature an expanded material palette here.
