Lake Retreat + Boathouse

• This is a vacation house on Blue Lake in Marble Falls, Texas, for a couple and their extended family. The project scope required the complete interior renovation of a distinctively designed existing property along with various additions including a semidetached boathouse, two bedroom suites, a new entry, a new primary suite, a new swimming pool, an elevator, and copious parking for occupants spanning three generations.

  Our core mission involved the creation of a system of interventions that could provide an overall logic to the property. Along with the interior renovation, we worked to create a single eave datum rendered in Douglas fir to essentially cradle the preexisting house, while creating a new primary wing, entry sequence, and boathouse.

• A further trip around the property reveals parking, boathouse, and pool, all with a stunning view of the lake.
